COLORADO WALMART SHOPPER FINDS RANDOM DOG IN LETTUCE SECTION

Last Sunday in Durango, Colorado, a Walmart shopper spotted a dog lounging in the produce section. The woman with the dog claimed it was a service animal, but the dog was off-leash and refused to leave.

Video from a shopper showed the woman trying to get the dog out of the lettuce and whole at first it was difficult, she ended up getting the dog out and you can hear her say “Now we have to find your mom.”

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service dogs must be trained to behave and assist with disabilities. Untrained pets misusing the service animal label risk public safety and trust.

Local rules in Durango also prohibit pets in grocery stores to protect hygiene. This incident highlights the need for clear service animal policies and responsible pet ownership in public spaces.
