Early Saturday morning, August 30th, 2025, at approximately 3 am a man was pronounced dead after the Chicago Fire Department recovered a body from Lake Michigan near Monroe Harbor.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death a homicide.

His identity has not been disclosed at this time. The victim was a 63-year-old male. Authorities say his cause of death was determined to be drowning, and there are no further details at the moment.
