CHICAGO BARBER HIGHLIGHTED DURING WORLD NATIONAL BARBER DAY

Devon “Dev the Barber” McGee, who operates Nellie’s Place in Chicago, emphasizes that barbering is not just about cutting hair; it’s also about building confidence and fostering connections. He was inspired by his late mother, who started by cutting the hair of her children when they were young.

During his eighth-grade year, haircuts started to evolve, which pushed him to practice in the bathroom. In the future, he hopes to expand his shop and guide the next generation of barbers.

Tuesday, September 16 is National Barber Day, a time to appreciate barbers.
