GiGi Tonye’ Arts and Finesse (GTAF) is the first dance and wellness center in Chicago that provides creative ways to provide wellness through accessibility to all ages. GTAF is at the forefront of how movement and dance is a part of the healthcare solution that addresses these disparities in underserved communities. Founder & Owner of GiGi Tonye Arts and Fitness, Garley “GiGi” Tonye’ Briggs kicked off the grand opening with team introductions, a performance from the teen dance program Dance4OurLives and the spiritual ballerina Chantal’ Ashantè Hill. In addition to performances, there was a Dj, food, a smoothie bar, chair massages, games and live demos led by the instructors. Community members, teens and staff were in attendance including Showtime’s “The Chi” actor Cortez Smith.
