ALASKA AIRLINES PASSENGERS WILL RECEIVE $1.5K AFTER DOOR BLEW OFF MID-FLIGHT

An Alaska Airlines passenger has shared the moment their plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Oregon after a large section of the aircraft’s window reportedly blew out mid-air last week.

Passengers flying on an Alaska Airlines plane have been offered $1,500 to compensate for their experience after part of the aircraft’s door blew off mid-flight.

According to NY Daily News, passengers will also receive a full refund for their plane tickets. A total of 177 people were aboard the Boeing 737 Max when a piece of the plane’s door blew out near the back of the plane. Passengers captured the scene in videos all across social media, many of which show a huge hole in the side of the plane, and oxygen masks being deployed.

An email from the airline reads as follows: “We recognize how extremely distressing this incident must have been and we are grateful to you and our crew for everyone’s calm and patience through this experience. We will fully investigate this incident and work with the relevant authorities to understand what happened.”

In addition to the financial compensation, Alaska Airlines also provided passengers with round-the-clock access to mental health resources and counseling sessions from Empathia.

Is that enough?
