Rapper Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, was reportedly stabbed in the face while serving his sentence at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. According to TMZ, the incident took place early Monday morning in the prison yard and resulted in Lanez being rushed to a nearby hospital in Bakersfield.
Lanez’s injuries are said to be non-life-threatening, but sources described the attack as violent and unexpected. So far, there’s been no official comment from prison officials or Lanez’s legal team regarding the motive or the attacker’s identity.
Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence after being convicted in December 2022 for the shooting of fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
