A woman was shot and killed early Sunday morning outside a popular hot dog stand on Chicago’s West Side, according to CBS Chicago.
The shooting happened around 3:37 a.m. near West Harrison Street and Independence Boulevard, outside the Original Maxwell Street Sausage Stand. Police said the woman was involved in an argument with a man when the confrontation escalated.
According to authorities, the man pulled out a firearm and shot the woman multiple times before fleeing the area in a silver SUV.
The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she died. Authorities have not identified her.
