FLORIDA SUBWAY MANAGER ARRESTED AFTER LOCKING 10 YEAR FOR WALKING ON FRESHLY MOPPED FLOOR

A Subway manager is facing felony charges after allegedly locking a 10-year-old girl in a back room for stepping on a freshly mopped floor.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, James Anthony Morris Jr., 33, was arrested on July 21 and charged with false imprisonment of a child under 13. The incident happened at a Subway on Argyle Forest Boulevard.

The girl’s mother said Morris grabbed her daughter’s hand and locked her in a room for about two minutes. The child said she feared she was being kidnapped and told police Morris insulted her and her parents.

Another employee witnessed the incident and called Morris’s behavior “weird.” He was released on a $5,000 bond and is set to appear in court on August 13.
