Maryland authorities are investigating a reported physical altercation between a U.S. Postal Service worker and a local resident that allegedly began over a dog during a mail delivery.
According to Taqia Rollins, the situation escalated after a disagreement involving her dog, leading to a confrontation that she claims turned physical. Rollins says she intends to press assault charges against the postal worker, alleging she was attacked during the encounter.
Maryland police confirmed that the dog did not bite or injure the mail carrier. Animal Control was notified but did not take enforcement action because no bite occurred, Fox 5 DC said.
The U.S. Postal Service has acknowledged awareness of the situation and stated it is cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues. At this time, no charges have been formally filed.
