It’s no secret that New York has a significant rat problem. However, as of July 8th, a solution to get rid of them has been found.
Mayor Eric Adams and Department of Sanitation Commissioner Jessica Tisch unveiled New York City’s first official trash bin outside of Gracie Mansion.
Starting Nov. 12, buildings with one to nine housing units will have to put household trash for pickup in large plastic containers — which are said to be rat-proof. The city is selling the bins to property owners for $50 each.
With this “Trash Revolution” video circulating the internet, everyone on social media has one question…Why is NYC just now getting trash bins?
