A woman was caught on video attempting to flee after crashing her BMW into a Popeyes restaurant in Miami.
The woman is heard saying, “Can you get me out of here, please? I can’t get charged with that. I can’t go to jail, I can’t go to jail. I won’t last there.” People even encouraged her to leave the car and flee, despite the fact that the police could still identify her by the plates and tags.
According to Law and Crime, the crash happened 7am Sunday during a rainy day at the Popeyes location on Northwest Seventh Avenue in Liberty City.
She appeared to have a change of heart because she chose not to flee the scene and instead waited for the police to arrive and speak with them.
When police showed up the scene they said they didn’t see any signs that the woman intoxicated.
Although no serious injuries were reported, the woman, who has not been named, was cited for reckless driving and driving too fast for the conditions.
