FLORIDA MOTHER PUSHES 1-YEAR-OLD OUT OF CAR FOR SPILLING SHAMPOO

A Florida mother has been charged with child abuse and neglect after she allegedly shoved her 1-year-old daughter out of her car because the child spilled shampoo.

29-year-old Tasshay Mills is facing serious charges of neglect and abuse. It is alleged that following the incident, she drove away, made a U-turn, and took her daughter from a woman who had rescued the child from the street.

A mother who helped the baby said she and her boyfriend were in a car behind Mills when they saw the 1-year-old pushed into the road. The little girl was “bleeding from her head,” according to the witness. Mills then drove away “erratically” before turning around to return to where her child was being helped.

The witnesses were able to provide a description of Mills and a photograph of her license plate to the police after she came back and snatched her daughter, then drove off.

Mills refused police requests to return and get medical attention for her daughter. According to reports, the baby had gravel on her face and arm from the asphalt, was bleeding from the head, and struggling to breathe.

Eventually, Mills told officers that she would take her daughter to get checked out but she lied and ended up leaving town with her daughter.

The passenger who’d been in the car with Mills and her daughter contacted police and told them where Mills could be found, at an address in Miramar, and officers found her there with a friend.

The friend gave police the location in Opa-locka where the 1-year-old could be found, and after she was found, she was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Mills was questioned by detectives and told them that she had pulled over and removed the child so she could clean the seat.

After posting a $7,500 bond, Mills is ordered to stay away from her daughter.
