TEXAS MAN BREAKS BOTH LEGS AFTER JUMPING ONTO ICE RINK WHILE RUNNING FROM POLICE

A shoplifter reportedly trying to run from Houston Police officers jumped from the second floor of the Galleria Mall and landed on the ice skating rink below, where he ended up breaking both his legs.

Houston Police Department officers, working an off-duty job at the mall, responded to a reported theft at a store.

The officers quickly spotted the accused thief. As they pursued him, he bolted and jumped from the mall’s upper level. That’s when you can see him laying out on the ice on video recorded by some shoppers.

According to Click2Houston, the suspect has pending charges of evading police and theft. Houston Police will not release the identity of the man until charges are formally filed.
