NEW JERSEY MAN STABS DELI WORKERS OVER 4-YEAR-OLD SANDWICH DISPUTE

A Paterson, New Jersey man allegedly stabbed two bakery owners over a sandwich order he says was wrong—four years ago.

Brothers Abed and Mohammad Assad, owners of Baladna Bakery, were attacked on July 31 after the man claimed he was given an eggplant sandwich instead of egg, which he says caused an allergic reaction.

The brothers offered a refund, credit, and even food to calm him, but the man pulled a knife and stabbed Mohammad in the chest and slashed Abed’s arm.

Both victims survived. The suspect fled and remains at large. Police are investigating.
