Cobb County Jail may have resolved a chaotic few days by their recent actions. Several of Young Thug’s jail calls have been leaked, and according to The Breakfast Club, the issue has been addressed.
Cobb County has reportedly banned all future public records requests for recordings of Young Thug’s jail calls. This follows months of leaked phone and video conversations between the rapper and associates, including his girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist, which stirred debate over privacy and media access.
Previously, the jail stated it was legally obligated to release non-privileged calls under Georgia’s open records laws. However, the attention and backlash from leaked recordings — a lot of which have gone viral — appear to have prompted the jail to reconsider its handling of such requests.
