A man was hospitalized after being stabbed on a CTA train platform overnight in downtown Chicago’s River North neighborhood.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the incident happened late at night at the Grand station on the Chicago Red Line. Authorities say a 37-year-old man was standing on the platform when another individual approached him and stabbed him in the arm.
The victim suffered a wound to the tricep area and was transported to a nearby hospital in fair condition, according to CBS News.
Police say the suspect fled the scene shortly after the attack. No arrests have been made, and detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
The stabbing adds to ongoing safety concerns surrounding late-night incidents on CTA platforms across Chicago.
