Both victims, identified as adult males, suffered stab wounds to the neck during the attack. Emergency crews transported the injured men to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were listed in fair condition.
Police said the suspect fled the scene following the stabbing. As of now, no arrests have been made, and detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the violence.
The incident has raised continued concerns about safety on public transit, especially during overnight hours. Riders across the city have voiced worries about violent incidents occurring on trains and platforms, particularly along heavily traveled routes like the Red Line.
