75-YEAR-OLD DIES AFTER FIGHT WITH SHIFT LEADER AT TIM HORTONS IN INDIANA

A 75-year-old woman, identified as Anita Ann Grayson, has died following a physical altercation with a 20-year-old shift leader at a Tim Hortons restaurant in Fort Wayne, Indiana, according to Wane 5.

The incident took place on May 13 at the Tim Hortons on Ice Way after Grayson reportedly entered the restaurant with complaints regarding her drive-thru order. According to witnesses, Grayson yelled at a 17-year-old girl who was working at the counter. Authorities say the situation escalated inside the business after an exchange between the customer and staff members.

Police report that the shift leader, identified as August Horner, stepped in to help manage the situation and instructed Grayson to leave the restaurant. Investigators say the confrontation intensified when Grayson allegedly moved toward a teenage employee, leading to a physical altercation between Grayson and Horner.

According to officials, a brief struggle occurred inside the restaurant. During the incident, Horner suffered minor injuries, including scratches and pulled hair, as employees attempted to separate those involved and restore order.

After the confrontation ended, Grayson reportedly remained inside the restaurant for a short time before collapsing. Staff members, including Horner, attempted to assist her and provided aid until emergency responders arrived at the scene.

Grayson was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Preliminary findings from the Allen County Coroner’s Office indicate there were no significant traumatic injuries identified as contributing to her death, though officials say the final cause and manner of death remain under investigation.

Fort Wayne police have stated that they are continuing to review surveillance footage, witness statements, and other evidence. Authorities also noted that early online reports circulating about the incident do not fully represent the ongoing investigation.
