BODY CAM VIDEO RELEASED OF MISSISSIPPI OFFICER WHO SHOT 11 YEAR OLD BOY

Body cam footage, of a Mississippi officer, has been released of an incident where a child was shot in the chest.

On May 20, 2023, in Indianola, Mississippi, 11-year-old Aderrien Murry was shot in the chest by Sergeant Greg Capers of the Indianola Police Department. The incident occurred after Murry’s mother, Nakala Murry, directed him to call 911 due to the arrival of an irate ex-partner at their home. When police responded to the domestic disturbance call, Sgt. Capers shot Murry as he was entering the living room from a hallway, unarmed. Murry sustained serious injuries, including a collapsed lung, a lacerated liver, and fractured ribs.
