MOTORCYCLE GUNMEN OPEN FIRE IN CHICAGO, LEAVING ONE DEAD

A shooting on Chicago’s South Side ended in a deadly crash, leaving one person dead and two others injured, according to WGN News.

The incident happened in the 1700 block of W. 50th Street. Chicago police said the violence began when two people on a motorcycle pulled up alongside a vehicle carrying three occupants and opened fire.

During the attack, the driver attempted to flee but lost control of the vehicle, which eventually came to a rest after striking a parked car in the same block. The impact and gunfire left the scene chaotic, with debris scattered across the roadway.

A 26-year-old woman was struck multiple times and later died at the hospital from her injuries.

An 18-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the hip and is in serious condition, police said. A 16-year-old boy was also injured, suffering gunshot wounds to his left arm and left leg, and remains in critical condition.

Authorities said the suspects on the motorcycle fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Investigators are working to determine the exact sequence of events and are reviewing surveillance footage and witness statements.

Emergency responders rushed all victims to area hospitals, while officers secured the block where the crashed vehicle was found against a parked car.

No arrests have been made, and police have not released information on a possible motive.

The investigation remains ongoing as Chicago police continue working to identify those responsible for the attack that turned a street shooting into a fatal crash.
