33 year old Marcus Womack is a 5 time felon who just randomly chased a man, 41 year old Ulysses Green, into Maxwell Street Polish over in the Park Manor neighborhood on Sunday. CPD responded to the restaurant after the man was shot and reported that the two men were arguing outside

Prosecutors informed Judge Antara Rivera that Womack pursued Green into the restaurant and shot him twice in the back at close range, as reported by CWB Chicago.

Investigators found video from a gas station next to the restaurant that showed the gunman fleeing the scene in a vehicle. They got the car’s license plate number, which led them to Womack, officials said Tuesday.

Womack was arrested five hours after the shooting in the Woodlawn neighborhood.
