A police chase from Blue Island ended in a crash at Halsted and Vermont in Chicago on July 9th, injuring 11 people.

A fleeing Jeep ran a red light and struck a Pace bus and two cars. The driver and a passenger are in critical condition. A child, other drivers, and four Pace bus riders were also hurt.
No arrests or citations have been issued as police continue to investigate. The crash has sparked concern about the dangers of high-speed chases in city traffic.
