THE WORD | Nipsey Hussle’s ‘Victory Lap’ Re-Enters at No. 2 on Billboard 200 Chart.

Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap album re-enters the Billboard 200 chart straight in at No. 2. The title surges back onto the tally following Hussle’s deathon March 31.

According to Billboard Victory Lap earned 66,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending April 4 (up 2,244%), according to Nielsen Music, with 17,000 of that sum in album sales (up 7,205%). The album, which marked Hussle’s debut studio release, surpasses its original peak of No. 4, achieved in its debut frame on March 3, 2018.

 Victory Lap was Hussle’s first studio album. He had plenty of mixtapes in his early career. Four of those mixtapes will debut on the new Billboard 200. 2013’s Crenshaw bows at No. 63 with 11,000 units, 2016’s Slauson Boy 2 starts at No. 109 with 8,000 units, 2010’s The Marathon enters at No. 179 with 6,000 units, and 2014’s Mailbox Money debuts at No. 192 with nearly 6,000 units. Billboard reported.
