12-YEAR-OLD TENNESSEE GIRL CHARGED WITH MURDER AFTER SUFFOCATING 8-YEAR-OLD COUSIN OVER IPHONE

A 12-year-old girl has been charged with first-degree murder after home surveillance video allegedly showed her suffocating her 8-year-old cousin in a bunk bed they shared at their grandmother’s Tennessee home.

Demeria Hollingsworth and her older cousin were at their grandmother’s house for the summer when they were supposed to be in bed, but they were still awake.

The mother received a call the next day about the incident and was told this all started over an iPhone.

The prosecutors are seeking to try the 12-year-old cousin as an adult for the killing of her cousin, Demeria, based on the footage of the tragic incident.

According to the police, after committing the heinous act, the cousin cleaned up the scene, repositioned Demeria’s body, and acted as if nothing had happened.

The cousin, who authorities have yet to publicly reveal, has been charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
