Armed robbers stole a vehicle while a woman and a child were still inside in the South Loop on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Chicago police.
Authorities reported that the carjacking took place in the 400 block of West Harrison Street at approximately 2:30 p.m.
According to police, a 29-year-old woman and her 1-year-old daughter were seated in the backseat when two individuals entered the car and drove off.
As the vehicle neared the intersection of West Harrison and South Paulina streets on the Near West Side, the carjackers compelled the victims to exit the car at gunpoint.
Fortunately, the victims did not sustain any injuries during the event.
Officers later located the stolen vehicle in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the 33500 block of South King Drive. The police apprehended individuals were apprehended.
