A routine vehicle repossession took a violent turn in Memphis, Tennessee, when a tow truck driver was run over by the very car he was attempting to tow. The incident, caught on video and circulated widely across social media, has led to the arrest of two individuals on charges of aggravated assault.
According to Black News, the incident occurred as the driver was preparing to tow a 2011 Ford Fusion. During the process, 27-year-old Brandi Revels is heard yelling for a man to “hurry up.” That man, identified as 34-year-old Nicholas Wray, allegedly jumped into the vehicle and reversed over the tow truck driver, whose head was partially beneath the car at the time.
Despite the severity of the situation, the driver survived, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, including severe abrasions to his head and arm pain. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The Memphis Police Department quickly identified the suspects and issued arrest warrants. Both Wray and Revels were apprehended and charged with aggravated assault. Wray’s bond was set at $60,000, while Revels was held on a $15,000 bond. Their court appearance was scheduled for March 31.

This disturbing episode underscores the increasingly dangerous conditions faced by repossession agents, who often encounter emotional and potentially violent reactions during the course of their work. The viral video has reignited discussions around the need for stronger protections and procedures to ensure the safety of those working in high-risk roles like vehicle recovery.
