A shocking incident unfolded at a Wingstop restaurant after a heated dispute over just 61 cents escalated into violence.
According to police reports, an argument between a customer and Johnisa Herring, 25, began when the cashier allegedly claimed the customer still owed 61 cents for their order. The disagreement quickly turned hostile, with witnesses saying voices were raised and tempers flared.
In a disturbing turn, Herring reportedly grabbed hot cooking oil from the fryer and threw it toward the customers. The scalding oil left victims with burns and sent them rushing to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities confirmed Herring was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault. The victims are expected to recover physically, though the trauma of the attack is likely to linger.
Harris is being held on a $7,500 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
