CHICAGO SUBURB WALMART SHOOTING LEAVES TWO INJURED

A shooting broke out Wednesday afternoon at the Walmart Supercenter at 2500 W. 95th Street in Evergreen Park, a suburb south of Chicago. According to police, the incident stemmed from a dispute between two men, with one chasing the other into the store before opening fire.

According to ABC News, a 23-year-old man was shot multiple times in the leg and is in serious condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center. A 70-year-old woman outside the store was also injured, likely by a ricochet or bullet fragment, and is in good condition at Little Company of Mary Hospital.

The suspect was quickly apprehended, and authorities recovered the firearm used in the incident. Police say the two men involved knew each other. Walmart remains closed as the investigation continues.
