TEXAS MAN FATALLY SHOOTS COWORKER OVER LENGTH OF BREAKS

A North Texas man has been charged with murder after stalking and killing his coworker because of how long her breaks were and because she didn’t pay him any mind.

According to police reports, Merrill told detectives that he had a strong obsession with Collazo. He became very angry when she took long breaks and didn’t pay attention to him. Some of their coworkers expressed concern about Merrill, believing he was acting strangely or even erratically. After Collazo filed a complaint against him, he was instructed not to return to work until he spoke with a counselor.

Merrill also told police that Collazo avoided him at work after she had reported him, which angered him. He then bought firearms, and even told police that he had brought the guns to work on several occasions. He admitted to following her during her lunch break and waiting for the right moment to attack her at her desk in front of other employees.

Merill is in Denton County Jail where his bond is set at $10 million.
