TUPAC MURDER TRIAL DELAYED AFTER NEW EVIDENCE ALLEGEDLY SUPPORTS KEEFE D’S INNOCENCE

The trial for 2Pac’s murder has been postponed until next year following the discovery of new evidence that allegedly supports Keefe D’s plea of not guilty. Originally set to begin next month in Las Vegas, Judge Carli Kierny rescheduled the trial to February 9, 2026, during a hearing on February 18. This decision came after Keefe D, whose real name is Duane Davis and who is the only person charged in the murder of the rap icon, requested the trial be delayed due to new witness testimony that indicates his innocence.

During the hearing, Judge Kierny noted, “It appears there are several matters that still need to be addressed to ensure Mr. Davis receives effective legal representation.” The judge also asked if Keefe D agreed with the postponement, to which he consented. In the motion, Keefe D’s legal team argued that additional time was necessary to interview witnesses and conduct important investigative work for their case.

The defense stated that investigators have identified witnesses who can confirm Keefe D was not present at the murder scene, which occurred in September 1996 on the Las Vegas Strip. Keefe D has been in law enforcement custody since September 2023 when he was charged with orchestrating the shooting of 2Pac, marking the first arrest in this long-standing case.
