STRONG WINDS KNOCK DOWN STATUE OF LIBERTY REPLICA IN BRAZIL

A storm in Guaíba, Rio Grande do Sul, brought down a 35-meter replica of the Statue of Liberty on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, according to Times Now News. The statue, installed in front of the Havan store in 2020, collapsed into the parking lot after being hit by powerful wind gusts during the severe weather event.

Thankfully, no one was injured, as the area had been largely cleared due to the storm. Authorities had issued a red alert for high winds, and Havan confirmed that the statue had been installed following proper safety standards. Teams are now working to remove the damaged structure.

The incident serves as a reminder of the force of nature, even on large man-made landmarks.
